Default j's header and 70rr= lean

I just got my car tuned by Giles of Hollyroller dyno. He said that before tunning my car was running way too lean. The only mods i had were comptech intake, j's header and 70rr exhaust. I'm just giving a heads up to anyone out there running this set up without tunning. Giles suggested i got a compression test done because i was having some detonation at 8500 rpm.

Hey you got it done! How do you like it? Your graph looks much better now.

So what was your A/F ratio?

That's weird, I thought that MY00-01 cars ran very rich from the factory. I wouldn't think that I/H/E would really make your car run lean, how did it do that?

I was never told what the a/f ratio was but i was told that there was some detonation above 8500 rpm. I also didn't understand why the mods would cause it to run so lean, or why I only made 215 whp. Which is why i'm scared to do a compression test, I may find out some bad news. I just figured that i would post in this forum because I know there are a few people with this setup.

When I was running the J's header, Mugen CAI and Amuse dual R1- I was always told that I could be running lean but not at peak but more so around 2000-3000rpm. I have subsequently installed the J's ECU and colder plugs. No probs at all.
