isn't the beam pattern on JDM headlights opposite the US ones?

like the higher side of the cutoff is on the left (for illuminating japan road signs) and whatnot?

just curious.

Yup

I just confirmed with Mike who has JDM headlights on his car, the beam pattern is the opposite of USDM headlights.

wasn't really asking the question, just confirming my hunch.

this verifies that JDM headlights on US cars is a BAD idea. it will cause glare to drivers on the opposite side of the road, AND you won't be able to read street signs.

Nope, not plug-n-play really. You need different sockets (JDM sockets, very difficult to source) to do it right. You can use electrical tape to hold the USDM sockets in there, but if you want to do it the right way you have to source the JDM sockets.

you should just buy rick's diffusers and do the mod yourself. keep the beam pattern, and save like 800+ bucks

Yeah different sockets. You can adjust the headlight cant you so its lower than the passenger, right? I never had this problem with mine.
