Not sure how true, but a dude who had an S2k at my local Honda dealership told me you can disassemble US lights and remove the yellow film instead of buying JDM counterparts.

Few days late reply, but ???

If I'm correct in assuming chickenstar is talking about the amber housing on the AP1 lights when he says "yellow film," you can absolutely remove them and replace with clear ones. It's commonly done.

There's no yellow film to remove. The lens is not covered by a yellow film which can be removed. The lens has to be replaced, which I have done also.

I know what you're saying, but I'm pretty sure you're reading too much into what OP was saying when he meant removing the "yellow film." Could go either way though.
