Mugen or Js Racing N1 ECU
Hi guys,
just wanted to see if i could get some clarification on what ECU may be better suited for me.
Ive currently narrowed down my ECU decision to the Js racing N1 circuit spec ECU (http://www.fortyone.co.nz/parts/show...pec%20ECU.html)
and the Mugen N1 ecu (http://www.fortyone.co.nz/parts/show.../N1%20ECU.html), i understand the mugen has been discontinued however i know a person that may be willing to sell me his one if he gets the right amount of cash for it.
If im only planning on doing the conventional bolt on i.e I/H/E and i only want to use a plug'n'play ECU, which one should i go for?
Ive heard that with the mugen N1, it works best only with the supporting mods being of mugen make, however the j's racing one does not specify if the supporting mods have to be of the j's racing make.
Any help on the query would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

For you to get the most out if the ecu you need to use all of their gear. The ecu is base mapped using that companies gear. So I/h/e, Japanese fuel, I believe fan switch and thermo stat are recommended.
I'm running the spoon ecu with a mixture of spoon and Js gear and I made gains on the dyno and on the track, all be it small gains. To be honest, you would get better value for money just buying a haltech.
