Default Need advice for air/fuel ratio

The problem is:

I have a AP2 with a AP1 ecu

T1R 70RT exhaust and header
K/N intake system
AP1 Camshaft

The car will run in 2 week with these mods, can it be too dangerous for running too lean?

I can afford something like a VAFC right now, maybe a Kpro but next year (damn school lol)

I plan to get a AEM uego soon but with some good advice it can help

thanks!

VAFC should be fine for what you need.

What year AP1 ecu did you get? The MY00-01 run more rich than the MY02-03...so even with those mods, you'd probably be ok.

So if you run an ap1 cam shaft and ecu will the ap2 now rev to 9k?

All you need is the ecu to run an ap2 to 9k.

I would atleast get on a dyno and check. I'm starting to find out more and more that without a tune people are running dangerously lean with testpipe and header, like in the 15's. It's for a brief few moments but it's happening.

Honestly for the price of the VAFC, you can spend just a little more and get the Greddy Emanage which is a far superior product.

As far as your question goes, I don't think you will run into any problems with that setup. Definitely though, it is best to get it tuned, not only for the safety of your car, but also so you can extract the most power from your setup as well!

k so i`ll try find a sweet deal on a e-manage, i know that i can have a brand new one for 500$CAD, and 1000$CAD for the ultimate, the things i`ll propably get the kpro next year, so i dont want to pay a lot for something that i`ll use for 3-4month...well thanks a lot for the tips guys!

Now i`ll read some e-manage tread lol
