Jethot is a metallic ceramic coating applied to both inside and outside of the header. The company claims performance advantages, but I am having it done primarily for the underhood heat reduction it offers. Especially since the TracySports header does not have a provision for a heatshield.

I never knew they coated the inside of the header. If anything I would assume coating the inside would take away from the effect.

Not a problem wildcardtrd! Thanks for putting up this post. I pondered for quite a long time on the J's but I think I made the best decision personally for my car. I wanted something lighter than the stock header and also want to increase engine response ... I got both of that with the J's but I wasn't expecting too much on HP gain so the mid-range gains were a pleasant surprise. At least my experience now matches those who have reported their findings with it in the past.

Yeah, the guys at Dyno-comp also mentioned that if I leaned out a bit up top, more peak power could be had. So, I'm doing my research on the best way to get that and retain the reliability on track since that's pretty much all my car does nowadays anyways

All in all, I give the J's SPL
Nice dyno gains RFever. and thanks formy test pipe!

Mugen AP2: tri-y design. 6-7 hp from midrange to peak (claims). Weight savings: Approx 10lbs (manufacturer claims). ~$1300
Mugen header verified

check sig for link to dyno plots
no tuning was done only adjustment on the Fuel pressure for final numbers
intermediate numbers are bolt on and dyno run.

E-manage was not even in the car at that time.

I had the TODA header on my AP1 and loved it, it gave great mid-range and great top end power. I also had the SPOON before and it was not nearly as good as the TODA.

LOL! Added the ever annoying ebay over-populating $200 header
Someone should buy one of those stupid things just to see what it'll do, then turn around and sell it. It's not like you're out a whole lotta dough...
I drove around this car for a week while my car was getting IMG and diff put in. It was a 00 silverstone with PRM intake, OBX header (both intake and header were heat wrapped), Megan test pipe, and Apexi N1. Basically, all the worst bolt on parts you could possibly get With VAFC2 tuning it made just barely over 200 to the wheels.

The car also had 4.57 gears and I swear it still felt SO much slower than mine.

i think there are a good number on this board w/ quality parts that still barely break 200whp.....and some people that make 230 w/ 3 or 4 basic parts. hard to explain.

that being said i have teh 5zigen header, i like it i havent been dyno'd but it felt like most the gains w/ the header are around 4-8k rpm so for 700 i give it a .
