Nate...below is a good write up on a build up of an ap1. Shows the toda compared to stock. Note this is on a Mustang dyno, which reads much lower than a DynoJet or DynoPack. Need to look at the gains, not the numbers.

At the time this was done, these were awsome gains. Before the J's header and 70mm T1R. My car was built to this spec other than a VAFC instead of an EMS...they were the best mods at the time.

Jethot is a metallic ceramic coating applied to both inside and outside of the header. The company claims performance advantages, but I am having it done primarily for the underhood heat reduction it offers. Especially since the TracySports header does not have a provision for a heatshield.

i absolutely love the exhuast, the sound is nice and deep, which is what i was looking for, there is a clip of it in the groupbuy page by a&j

plus, can't beat the price right now, if anyone is interested, the groupbuy is ending soon, need 3 more people for group buy for draw to be complete. and if people don't know about the draw, they are doing it on xmas day worth $2000 CAD, so pretty good deal

Does anybody know the dimensions of the J's SPL header? From what I've gathered, Berk is the only other header out there that has 50mm primaries along with the J's. Everyone else is in the 45mm range. IIRC, Berk and J's header have identical collector numbers as well, 65mm I believe? If anything, I think their dyno numbers should be pretty similar, although I don't know if they were able to extract a 14 hp+ gain in the midrange as did the J's.

I think Berk's header will definitely be one of the top headers on that list without the JDM pricetag. There are a few threads in UTH with dyno plots, and I've seen nothing but gains all across the board.

Can someone define the "TRI-Y" design for me? I always thought it was either 4-1 or 4-2-1.

Updated, thanks zerospel and kenstyle!

Guedo512, I added the defenition of the different types of headers to the 1st post. A TRI-Y header is the same as a 4-2-1 header. 4 pipes go into 2 pipes, that go into 1 output. These pipes make 3 "Y" shaped unions, thus the name.
