Don't even bother attaching the springs.
I have this exhaust. I love the weight savings. It's not really that loud, but it ain't quiet.
I just spent two days at the track. I had folks asking me if I was turbo'd. "No... why?" Between shifts, there is a very audible whistling when getting out of full throttle; almost as if I had a blow-off valve. I believe it the shifting element inside the cannister. I has not caused any problems yet. That, and I was putting some distance on some higher Mercedes-Benz's on the straights.
