My condolences to Tanabe's family and friends.
He will be missed by many who, like me, didn't know him but absolutely respected and were amazed by his work.

I posted this on your blog, but I thought I would post it here as well.
Rest in peace, he will be sorely missed in the tuning community not only for the great products and cars he made, but also more generally for the way he drove the industry forward and taught many thousands of young people how to properly build their cars, and in a larger sense their goals, in a very all-incompasing, form-follows-function, glorified manner. As you alluded to in your blog, Ben, with his level of knowledge and amazing skills, he probably could have made much more money selling (for lack of a better word) less ambiguous products, but instead he really progressed himself and the industry by constantly forging new ground, and by both building and living his dreams. He is a role model for us all. My condolences to his friends and family.
