Why would it be a trade secret? Theirs a few people running the same type of Ti on their exhaust it seems, the trade secret would be their welding abilities.

I thought it may be a trade secret b/c of their racing teams ... most racing teams want to keep as much of their cars a secret as possible, especially if they are buying the parts from 3rd party manufacturers that other companies/teams could potentially buy the same thing from.
Anyway, here are a couple things that may help.
This article has the contact info for both companies (Nippon and Kobe)

Nippon Titanium Catalog
This is what made me think that it would be a trade secret, as I was looking for the same info early last year. They do not have any listing for 70mm piping w/ less than 3mm diameter wall thickness, even though Amuse's exhausts have smaller (I think 2mm) diameter wall thicknesses. I think their earlier ones were 1mm thick, like the old Veilside exhausts were (which makes me wonder where that piping comes from as well). The only thing I can conclude is that they have a standing custom order from Nippon.

Hmm, that's true especially with that whole mclaren/ferrari scandal last year in F1. I did call amuse and they said to fax them a drawing of what I need and they'll send it over. I did also find out that you can figure out what grade the titanium is with a test but it costs alot to do. Either way, I'll try to get some more info on what grade the Ti is.
