wheel size/offset for PMU 4pot BBK?
 
this is for the fronts only as i'm pretty sure i'm going 17x9et45 in the rear. ideally, i want to run a stagger - 8 in front, 9 in the rear - but i'm open to possibilities. i just want to keep the car's handling characteristics as neutral as possible (altho i know most trackheads on here swear by a 9" square set up).

is the general guideline to get a offset below +40?

what if i run square, will a 17x9et45 wheel clear the BBK?

from what i've seen on here it seems like the PMU brakes are a lil wider than most so fitment issues are abundant. any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

There is no general size/offset that is BBK friendly otherwise it would be the headline everywhere. :eek:

It very much depends on the spokes of the wheel you are running, but +40 or lower on an 8/9 inch wheel is a good start.

You should try reposting this in the Wheel/Tire forum or you can PM Beb. She works for Mackin Industries and helped me confirm my wheel size and offsets

I thought the 17x8 RPF1s cleared, but the 9s didnt due to the spoke curve. Prodrives will clear and not need any work to fit.

i read this somewhere too. i think part of it is the step lip on the 18x9 wheel - which the 18x8 wheel doesnt have.

either way, i'm hoping a minor spacer should get the job done.
