Default Central PA - blown Ap1 motor part out

First Name: Aaron
Location: Lancaster, PA
Contact: PM

Okay below is the original post and I've been getting swamped with parting this thing out. I'm going to spend the next day just taking the motor apart. So far the parts I will be able to unload ASAP are below.

NOTE : All parts do not include SHIPPING AND PP FEES

complete head 450
AP2 Valve cover 130
TCT 50
Cam position sensor 60
Oil Pan 100
AP1 Flywheel 50
CC stage 3 pressure plate 100
RC 550cc injectors no clips 175

Hi guys,

This motor has been sitting in my garage for the past 2 years, so it's gotta go. A little history about the motor is that it has roughly around 300 miles on it if I'm not mistaken. I had the motor professionally rebuilt after spinning a bearing and the head pretty much going to . The head was supplied by another AP1 with roughly around 20,000 miles on it and then was rebuilt with factory parts. The bottom end has also been rebuilt, but using the same block as the one that had the spun bearing. The bottom end was also built with factory parts supplied by Inline Pro (crank, pistons, rods, bearings) and arp head studs and new honda gaskets. I have never opened it up, so I don't know if the crank is good or not and the severity of the damage. We did drain the oil and didn't find any metal shavings, so it's hard to say what the real issue was, but by the time i got home it was able to be heard without the music being off. All I do know is that it sounded like it had some slight rod knock while i was driving on the highway (so slight that i had to turn my music off to hear it). I drove it a mile home and opened it up to check if it was valve tap, since the sound was coming from the head. When we checked the clearances and everything checked out okay we pin pointed it to a bottom end issue. Since I was on a time constraint I had it towed to a Honda Dealership to put another motor in. So this thing has been sitting for quite some time.

The honda dealership that installed the new motor told me that a new crank, bearings, and maybe redoing the cylinder walls, but that would be the most that the motor would need in order to be good again.

Brand new crank from honda is around 750 i believe and the bearings are around 200 for the set if I remember correctly.

Pros:
Good head
Sensors are all there
AP2 Valve cover
Brand new TCT
Brand new knock sensor

Cons:
Don't know what the real issue is

Also if you plan to rebuild this motor and the bottom end does need to be machined the cylinder walls need to be redone by a shop that has a special machine from what i remember. Inline Pro was the closest shop around my area that could do it and they charged around 250ish to do it.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Which AP2 valve cover are you selling?

Is it the 12310-PCX-020,

or the 12310-PCX-010?
