The guy may have gotten $850 on ebay, but don't forget:
He paid a listing fee, and after they sold he paid a percentage of the sale, and he also had to ship them (whether shipping charges were included in the $850 I don't know... assuming not, the guy probably made in the neighborhood of $700 - $750, which isn't a whole lot more than the $500 you'll see sets going for here).
And if you've ever had to ship wheels before... major PITA. If you can find someone local who can pick them up and gives you $500, I'd take it.

i broke up my set , after 450 miles, sold the 2 rear tires for 300 picked up, front tiresfor 190. sold the wheels individually , took 5 months but got more than grand total in the whole deal that is 4 tires and 4 rims, i had to wait 5 months and i pd $20 to demount the tires, and after doin this whole ordeal i got rid of the aftermarket oz i had and went back to oem, pd 550 for them , so if u are deseperate you will be lucky to get more tan 600, or try ebay

no desperation. this is by no means a fire-sale. i am trying to see if someone is willing to pay about a grand for oem tires and wheels, which are practically brand-new, that's all.

guys, i am happy with the S02s if I am to stick with 16"ers. The idea is selling them together to move to the 17"ers. People that autocross or that have problems with their wheels/tires (accidents?) might be interested in these. So, basically, I am not selling them separately.

$1200 is certainly not the asking price. it is the value of these items if you want to buy them brand-new. since mine are very slightly used and second-hand, i certainly will be willing to part with them for much less, but definitely not for $500. I am shooting for a number closer to $1,000. If I start driving the car around (provided snow goes away around here) i am not selling it anymore, period. Hope this makes sense.
