CONDITION:
Recent compression and leak down tests indicate that cylinder #2 is running low (showing about 30-40% less compression than the other three cylinders). Nonetheless, the motor still runs fine. No exhaust smoke (blue or white). The other three cylinders had good results on the tests.
HISTORY:
The car developed a slight miss a couple years ago that was hard to track down. I ended up replacing spark plugs, injectors, and coil packs. Doing these things would resolve the issue for a while, but it would come back eventually. About a week ago, I was driving as normal, and one of the cylinders clearly had a problem. The cylinder 2 spark plug had backed out and melted the #2 coil pack. I installed a fix-a-thread in the #2 spark plug bore, and after reinstallation of a new coil and all new spark plugs, the car is back to running like it did before the issue.
NO check engine light on the car. Idle is smooth. VTEC works perfectly. You'd honestly never know the one cylinder has lower compression.
I've had the car since 2007, at which point I purchased it with 40k miles on it. I want to keep the car for a long time, but am not prepared to undertake a rebuild project, so I'm sourcing another motor for the car.
For reference, here are approximate prices for used, individual F20C drivetrain components on Ebay:
All told, the parts value is approximately $2400.
Would like to get $2200, since this is a running motor. Serious offers will be considered.

Sometimes a stretch of road just sticks in my mind. I immediately recognized northbound on Mosside Blvd -- and I'm from Cleveland. Nice stretch of road for a test drive.

No kidding. My wife and I live up on the ridge off of Haymaker road. I can literally hear people firing at the range as I type this. Small world!
