    I change my oil between 3,500-5,000 miles - whether it needs it or not. I tell most folks to stay with the OEM change interval due to the fact both AP1 and 2 engines are considered "high performance" as defined by Amsoil. Extended drain intervals greater than the OEM recommended interval can be achieved (up to 25,000 miles or 1 year - which ever comes first) if you drive conservatively.
