Hi gang,

New to the car (my first s2k) and the forum. Just got mine and the seat has a tear and could use some reconditioning. The top also has the tear (usual spot). I have searched but came up with old posts so I would appreciate any recommendations based on recent work you guys have got done.

Lim's Upholstery has been around for over 30 years.

They have two shops. One in Tysons and one in Chantilly.

I have never had any work done by them. But I know they are the go to shop for the dealers in Tysons.

I imagine the second shop is a result of the building of Chantilly Auto Park and Moore Cadillac moving to Chantilly.

I know for a fact that Moore was a big customer at the Tysons shop.

Lim's is not cheap.

But with upholstery you get what you pay for.

Lim's Upholstery did the top in my car (by previous owner) about 3 years ago (per receipts). Still looks great and they added extra layers of material on the normal wear spots.

Why not just replace the seat and the top?

got it done from lims. Hopefully, it will hold. now looking for someone good in detailing.

I'm a little late to the thread but here's another option for anyone else looking for a source.

I know someone that had work done through D&V Autobody and I think the shop subbed it out to Metro Leather & Vinyl Repair in Sterling.
