Default Departing to Berkely CA

Hey guys, long story short, I got a new gig in Berkeley CA and will be moving there at the end of the month. I'll be quite the adventure
Do you guys have any experience with long distance moving like that? Does anyone have any connections there with helping me rent a room maybe?
Thanks in advance!

Guess you won't want to move an F20c across the country!

No advice, sorry. But congrats, Oleg! I am happy for you!

Best of luck and congrats Oleg! A shame I didn't get a chance to see you at the track more, but there's always the future.

My only advice would be to maybe hold off on moving all your belongings right away (like your s2k and other big items). There's a chance you may not like it there (not likely) and want to move again. Even if you plan to stay put there, you can always get your stuff sent over or come back and get it at a later time if you have family in the area to watch it. It also makes it easier so you don't arrive to a new place and have to immediately worry about finding someplace to house all your stuff. Congrats again!

PS. I thought I remember you posting about making stuff out of composites. How about fabbing up some rear brake ducts for the s2k (I wouldn't mind some nicer front ones too).

Congrats on the new gig. I only moved from MD to VA, used the company Box truck and had a lot of time to move, so I am no help.

A friend used the POD's deal to move to Florida and that worked out pretty well.

yeah, my plan is to move minimal amount of stuff first, and then once I get situated, move the rest over.
Also, from what I understand, having my car street legal there would be a pipe dream, so I'll have to account for that also.

Congrats on your move! Enjoy that emissions stuff in Cali hahaha...I've have moved around ALOT and consider myself to be professional at moving. A company called mini movers is good. I used them for part of my move back to the east coast. They're good because you can pack and label stuff yourself and they will come to your house to pick it up for you. UPS is good but expensive. For my car I had a good experience with DAS (got an enclosed transport). If you have any questions let me know. Hope this helps!
