Today marks the two year anniversary of S2000 ownership for us. We bought our baby new August 10, 2002- a late VIN'd '02.
Countless tires, unforgettable miles, and lifelong memories shared with some of the nicest people I've ever met have made ownership so unique and definitely added to the enjoyment of driving/flying our first import.
From the 720* spin in February on the way back from a VA Beach meet to the airborne "money" shot to my first mods(interior and then exhaust from Evolution) to the Dragon(which Janet couldn't stomach ) to the simple get-togethers to our first Fall Colors to the 2 driver side door replacements to my first autocross in the freezing cold and hurricane-force winds to my first track day(brake caliper paint WILL change colr with enough heat! ) to HIN, NOPI and local shows to the stupid amount of hours spent sanding the inside of my trunkwell, all of these experiences and more are etched forever in family's collective mind.
Imagine how little you would have done with the car if you hadn't found S2Ki and how much this place has changed your life! My car will have been with me a year in November and this thread has already got me thinking about how much I've been through with it now

Happy anniversary to two very fine folks and one veeeeeeery fine ride!
Thanks all!
Dave, when you posted it reminded me of our first meet- Charlottesville! That's what really did it. As most of you have already heard the story, Janet went home that day with bruises on her shoulder area from the seatbelt!
Alex, you're absolutely right about fewer mods. I only found the site because I was looking for a performance "chip" like I had for my truck. But there are times when I wish she was still stock. But all in all, I wouldn't change a thing because of the great times and stories we have.
I feel pretty lucky that my wife is cool with the car and its mods. Hell, she bought the hood and made me buy the hardtop! The kids have helped detail the undercarriage, so it's actually a "family" car!
Yeah, I remember Skip and Janet on their first drive with us - don't laugh now, but Skip was all quiet and wasn't even sure he was going to hang around with us! He had to check us out first...
Congrats on your 2 year anniversary - I'm jealous!
