That is about speed cameras... why should they pay a speed camera fine if they are rushing to a call? I don't see how its related unless I'm missing something.

ok, so what's the problem. Officers generally have a reason to exceed the speed limit. Just complaing about it like this isn't going to do anything. If you want to be able to speed and not get a ticket for it, become a cop. Otherwise do something about it or stop complaining.

The older I get...the wiser I get. And O-turn's comment is dead-on. I cool my blood-pressure down every time I see a non-emergency-responding cop blow past me on the roads. [Undeniable] fact is police > you. They know it...and the sooner you recognize that fact, the sooner you can get over it.

i really don't want to be able to speed without consequence. the more i drive, and the faster i make my car, the less compelled i am to speed. i'm just pointing out how some police can abuse their power.

I have to agree with nightcrawler here.

It's one thing to have some leeway on speeding when responding to a call etc, but to blatantly ignore the speed limit and the fines w/o any recourse is another matter altogether.

Speed cameras are a bane for all of us.

There is no reason for any police officer in any situation to give the finger to anything. Speeding aside, this is childish behavior. Defiance, my ass.
On the other hand, I can see if the officer is respnding to a call, he should be allowed to speed.
