I've never made a payment on a vehicle. Of course, this is because I bought mostly cheap used cars for a long time.

Congratulations...that's a nice chunk of change to go toward something else. I paid cash for my latest S in 2006, and paid off the first S early. But I have a few years on the rest of you, so it's easier for me to pony up the money.

My wife and I had 4 decent cars and went about 6 years with no car payment. Its a great feeling for sure. Now we have 2 payments, 1 by choice and the other not so much, but they won't be around too long.

Congrats!

Yea, it's a shame it's already spoken for in the form of a monthly payment to Jared's.

I bought a civic in '09 on a loan, then got the itching for the S2k this past fall. Sold the civic, payed of my loan, and bought my '07 laguna in cash. What a great feeling to not have payments!

Congrats, Aaron! It's a great feeling to not have a car payments. That's how I was able to purchase a house here 5 years ago. I'm still paying $300/mo for my S for 18 more mos but I don't mind because I want that to be reason to hold on it longer.
