sounds great, yea this would likely be a 2 day ordeal, sat and sun, based on volume.

Just wanted to chime in on the quality of work provided by Jeremy.

My MY00 original top needed replacement---I had the typical wear spots and the vinyl window had cracked. I opted for the Robbins canvas top with the glass window (no defrost) upgrade. I drove from my home in south-central PA to Jeremy in NJ for the install. Total install time was less than 4 hours. Jeremy knows these cars very well. I first met him when he came to Baltimore for a similar weekend group install. As mentioned, there are plenty of others who have happily paid for his services and posted results. This guy knows what he is doing and is a genuinely nice guy. Buy with confidence.

As for the Robbins canvas upgrade---do not even think twice and do it. The canvas is a much better material--thicker with better coloring. Yes, care and maintenance will be different than with a vinyl top. Make sure you purchase the RaggTop brush and canvas top cleaner and sealant. Clean the top and apply the sealant as directed---you need to apply it twice on a brand new top. After that, its maintenance only. The top does require some time to stretch out and is a bit of a bitch to close for a while after install, but this is normal and will happen with any new top.

Jeremy, congratulations on the new baby, my friend. I'm sure you're daughter is excited to have a sibling. You have a fine young family and I wish you the best!

I would be happy to show pics of my top, but Photobucket sucks ass.

EDIT: Link to my Photobucket pics of the new top install: http://s984.photobucket.com/user/dwb.../S2K/New%20Top

PB still sucks ass.

Default Soft Top Group Buy and Install

In the Richmond, VA area with a 2008 S2000. Have repaired in the past, but now need to replace my soft top. Intrigued by what's being planned for September. Can someone provide more information - I am new to the forum. Thanks!

Had a couple PMs back and forth with Flynnbean, and we have another person! The list has been updated. We're up to 4 now.

I'm still posting to the local (Hampton Roads) Facebook groups. So far there's been some interest but nothing concrete.

Any DelMarVa Facebook groups y'all could try talking to?

Assuming everyone is still in, it looks like we have a 5th person. MR S2k bought a top from topsonline already and is interested in the installation side of this.

Awesome! Are prices still accurate, since at least one person already has a top?

I spoke with Jeremy and we are good to go for September 16th - 17th! Pricing will not be affected if we only 4 people for the group buy.

For anyone who is still considering joining this, we are making a cutoff date to get the final list by the end of next week, September 1st, 2017.

After that date, the window will close as we need to move forward with ordering the tops and organizing the installs. As you can see from the history of this thread, it can be a challenge to organize something like this, so if you're in need of a top replacement, this is a rare opportunity. So if you're considering joining us, please let me know ASAP.

For those already on the list, I will send a PM shortly with more information.

Updated List
  1. Slim2000
  2. CMK
  3. fangtastic
  4. Flynnbean
  5. MR S2k

Hey guys, I live in NoVA and am interested in hopping in on this group buy and install. Please put me down for an '02+ top (type tbd) and install on the 17th.
A few quick questions before I decide btwn the cloth and vinyl tops:
What are the maintenance differences between the cloth and vinyl tops? I read that the cloth top is more durable but requires a special cleaner (Raggtop) and sealant for initial conditioning.
Does this also apply to the vinyl top?
Is it recommended to clean and condition every time I was the car?

For reference I have an '03 with 64k miles on it and this is the original top. Thanks!
