Reckless Driving in Mecklenburg County, VA

Hey guys. I got pulled over last week driving through Virginia, Mecklenburg County, clocked at 104mph in a 70mph. First of all, I know, it was a seriously idiotic lapse in judgement. I know I'm guilty, but the question is, how can I reduce the damage? I'm looking for lawyers as we speak, any recommendations? Also, I am a Maryland resident but my driver's license is from Georgia. How does that work? What am I facing if this is the case? Any thoughts or suggestions would help. Thanks guys.

Good luck, I'm not sure how it will play out with all those variables, but unfortunately VA is tough on people that like to enjoy speed.

did you happen to get this ticket on i85 around exit 12? every time I pass by that area I see a cop posted up or with someone pulled over. I als got busted there. not as severe as yours but I just paid the ticket and that was that. good luck

i remember someone from VA was in court when i was there last week for speeding in maryland (montgmery county). the judge said the points would not transfer from MD to VA since VA had some differnet kind of point system. maybe that will work to your advantage as far as the points are concerned. as far as being from MD with a GA license, i'd imagine that they would just treat you as a GA driver and that would be the end of it..but they could see how long youve been living in MD and charge you because you're supposed to get a MD license if you've been living here for a certain amount of time...but then again i'm not sure if VA would have the right to do anything about that. anyway good luck,
