Sis is lookin' for a new car...
So, my sister is in the market to get a car.
She's a sophomore in college and is looking to get something somewhat new (within the past year or 2) that is under $17k.
She likes the Nissan Rogue and also likes the Altima (not sure why she's stuck on Nissans). They both seem like good cars, and she can get both of them used for under $17k.
Does anyone have any experience with either model from the past 2 years?
Does anyone have any other recommendations?
Does anyone work at a dealership that might be able to help out?
Thanks in advance!!!

and is she looking for anything? or something sporty? suv?
Nothing too big, so I think an SUV would be out, but a crossover would be a good fit.
She would also be into a sporty sedan. Something like the Altima or Mazda3.

the altima is a great car... very spacious interior and decent on gas form what i've seen... friend and coworker have one and I ride in it constantly... very comfortbale car and hasnt had an issue yet. He put 59k on it in 26 months still runs flawless..

The only reason I sold it, because I saw the S2000.

Why not get her a Fit? Good gas mileage, more affordable than both of those cars listed.
In any event, I rented a Altima in Vegas. Drove nice, seemed well put together. The CVT was a little weird if you are not used to that.

you should post what her needs are. altima/rogue is as wide a range as you r going to get.
you should also mention how things like mpg, maintenance, looks, space play into a factor in the decision

I talked to my sis and she's pretty set on the Rogue. Likes the looks, that it sits up a little higher than a sedan, gets good mileage, and has decent interior space.
