Hi everyone,
We have decided to do a s2000 Skyline Drive event on October 16th. The event will be like previous years with a Maryland meet up spot before everyone meets up at the Virginia dunkin donuts. Please message me or Brandon Ma on facebook or comment on here with any questions. We hope you can come out and hope everyone enjoys the scenic views and curvy roads of skyline drive.
Please come with a full tank so you don't have to fill at the Shell station
Schedule:
8 am MD Meeting Place:
Ikea College Park
10100 Baltimore Ave
College Park, MD
9:00 am VA Meeting place :
Dunkin' Donuts
14631 Lee Highway
Centreville, VA
9:30 am Begin drive
10:30 am Gas stop:
Shell Gas station,
12663 Lee Highway, Washington, VA 22747-1931
11:00 am Skyline Drive Entrance Point:
Thornton Gap Entrance Station
Per car entrance fee: $20.00 for one time or $40 for annual pass
12 pm break at Big Meadows Wayside
Things to remember:
* This is for s2000s only
* Stay in your lane (do not cross double yellow lines)
* Headlights on at all times
* Stay a safe distance from the car in front of you
* When turning on to a new road, be sure to slow down/stop to let the car behind you know that we turned
* Temps will drop 5-10 degrees from beginning of drive to top of skyline drive
*List of attendees does not include facebook members*

I posted over in "Events" also.
Keep in mind the actual meet/rolling times are an HOUR LATER than in the original post. Roll out of Ikea at 8am and Centreville at 9:30am.
Here is what I posted over in Events just to make sure we get everyone possible.
Sunday Oct. 16th. Two meet up locations:
1) Ikea in College Park just North of I-495 on RT-1 rolling out at 8am.
2) Dunkin Donuts 14631 Lee Hwy Centreville, VA 20121 rolling out at 9:30am.
I am NOT the official organizer but the "S2000 Mid-Atlantic Community" on Facebook (under "Events" tab) is hosting the annual spirited run up to Skyline Drive in the Virginia Mountains and back on SUNDAY October 16th.
The ONLY thing you need is an S2000 (only S2K's, keep headlights on all the time) and either $20 for a day pass or $40 for an annual car pass to Skyline Drive.
(last year, the toll taker wasn't there so it was totally free).
Clean them up and meet us at Ikea or for Donunts on Sunday. It is always great fun. We'll travel to Skyline by small, curvy, twisty backroads and have fun looking at everyone's cars and discussing at the park on Skyline.
Plan on a full day, home late afternoon!
