Default Soft top noise with hardtop installed...

Had Jeff install my hardtop a few weeks ago, and started noticing recently that the folded soft top is starting to make more noise over rough potholes/bumps. I'm guessing that when the top was first folded back, it was still pretty firm(the vinyl). But now that it's been folded for a few weeks, it has probably become creased and easier to move around(which I'm assuming is the noise I'm hearing).

I do have the bigger rubber stops that go on the soft top. I figured those would push the soft top up to rest firmly against the rubber bumpers connected at the rear of the hardtop, but there is probably a 1/2" gap or so.

Just curious if anyone has a good fix for this, and if any of you have experienced this? Like I said, it only happens over serious bumps, and I'm sure the 10k coilovers aren't helping with that. I completely removed the soft top latches, just cause I figured that's one less part to make noise back there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

-Pete

There is definitely a part of me that is thinking about removing it. BUT, I don't want to make more rattles and sounds by tearing the interior completely apart to get the soft top out.

Peter,

I had that problem for about a month last summer when i got my HT. It just eventually went away. Not to sure if there is a cure for it. Time cures everything they say.

Ignore it until it goes away. Like relationship problems.

PS - Hope somebody actually gives you a legit solution!
