Default tire shop near Richmond

I just had a really depressing run in with a salesman at Merchant's tire. I am trying to get some durezza star specs in stock size put on my ap1...Apparently that is just an impossibility at his shop.
I need suggestions on where to get them put on. I would order them from tirerack.com but I would still have to deal with transporting them and getting them put on.

any recommendations?

Order from tire rack. Take anywhere to have put on. Profit.

I've had bad experience with Merchants in the past. A well worded email will get you free services if you're interested.

merchants is bad news for the most part. In mechanicsvile check out custom cruisin. Mark is a tire rack installer, put mine on and a nice guy.

Consider stopping by West Broad Honda and ask a Service Tech Writer to allow you to speak with "Brett Corle", my mechanic there. Brett is top-notch, thorough, and knows more than most about S2000s in general (thanks to nearly 200K miles of maintenance on The Bruised Banana over the years). Good guy, and he cares. You can have TireRack ship the tires directly to WBH...but you'd have to pre-arrange that with WBH, etc.

Back to Brett... As far as your tire request goes, I've had Brett put ALL my tires on my S2000 over the years. From 16"...to 17"...to now 18" . Brett is trained on their latest machine (WBH just purchased this new tire changer ~ 1.5 years back).

Anyway...that'd be my recommendation. Good luck

mincz tire on the boulevard downtown is good, if he scratches your rims he will replace them.

last time i went to mincz on southside, i took them the rim already off the car. Just had to get 1 tire mounted and balanced, when he walked out shortly after and told me 85 bucks, i almost died. Guess i was partly to blame for not asking before hand, but i never would have imagined that.

Guess that's why he can afford to REPLACE the rim if he scratches it . Me & my wallet will stick w/ WBH for the time-being .
