valve adjustment

anyone have a general idea what it should cost to get a valve adjustment done? also any recommendations on where to go get it done?

Even a cursory search of the forum will provide detailed instructions on how to check and set your valve clearances. Tools cost less than $20 and it takes an hour of tedious work bent over the engine. Too many problems with dealer adjustments noted here. 2006 and later cars should be set at max spec as they tighten in use. A good Honda motorcycle mechanic, though, could easily get it right. With the valve cover off this looks like a bigger 4 cylinder Honda bike engine.

Artin with RRT Racing can help you out. He's worked on a lot of member's cars here (including mine) and can easily do a valve adjustment for you :) you can check out his IG @roadracetech or text him at 571-426-8641. You can also call RRT Racing at 703-661-4222 and get it scheduled through the shop, but that may cost you more. We are located in Sterling, VA if that's not too far from you! Hope this helps.

I just adjusted my own valves, and it was more time-consuming than I expected. I have adjusted valves on quite a few cars, and this one ain't easy! If you can get it done by a trusted facility for $100, it is well worth letting the professionals handle it, IMHO.

If you're in Hampton Roads, Cory Barney at Barney's Auto Repair in Hampton can do it in his sleep. That goes for pretty much anything S2K-related.

We charge $125 labor for a valve adjustment at my shop in Hampton.
