Default Want to buy: Used 02 sensor at CAT

So I had a CEL, code 0141, secondary 02 sensor failure (the one in the CAT) and I went to AutoZone who had to special order the sensor, $189 (Honda dealer wanted $311 and also had to special order).

I got the sensor Friday, changed it Saturday. Everything went well, the old one was easy to remove and the new one was easy to install...that is unil I tried to connect the sensor to the harness.

Turns out the sensor had a male end and the connector at the harness end has a male end also. The original (Honda) sensor has a female connector. Some prick sold me the wrong part so I took it back. Well, as it turns out, the (Bosch) part number on the box was right but the part number on the bag that sensor was in wasn't right. Someone f'ed up somewhere along the line before it got to me.

The saleman at AutoZone tells me that he has a "universal" 02 sensor from Bosch that doesn't have a connector and that all I had to do was cut off my old connector (w/ some slack of course) and splice it onto the new 02 sensor.

I did that and I still got a CEL, same one as before (took it back to AutoZone to pull the code again). So I'm through with this.

So the point to my long rant is...does anyone have a good used 02 sensor that I can buy? F AutoZone and their

Thats not good for me....

The honeycomb inside of my cat has broken away from the metal. So, The honeycomb broke the tip of the o2 senser(rear) off. I had to wait 2-3 days for mine to come in. I have it now, but I am not going to install it till I get a new Cat or Highflow testpipe.

For now, I drive with a gay CEL and a nasty rattle from the cat. I might just gut it for now.....

Warren,

I have one sensor. not sure if it's from the header or cat, it's about 2 feet long, white cord and a grey plug.

You can have it; just need to come over and get it.

Pic isn't necessary. Does the sensor end have a male or female elec. connector on it?
