Who's interested in a Richmond S2K "Chapter"???
Additional to my S2K, I currently own a Honda Goldwing and am a member of a local GWRRA Goldwing Chapter (U). This is a fairly well organized group that has officers, meets once a month for various member topics, issues, awards,...and general fraternity... and then wraps up with a ride somewhere. Along the way during the month, various rides are scheduled with 4 designated N-W-S-E meeting points for Saturday/Sunday (or for the retired types...even weekday) rides.
Point being...I am really enjoying my Stook. And I like the idea of getting a group together to take a jaunt...talk S2K...and generally just have fun...
Any takers? If so, I'm talking about something serious here...as far as being organized... I'm willing to take reins at the start... but do not consider myself to be a Bully looking to own the show. I just want to have some fun as a group fairly regularly.
Thanks, and BTW, if there already is such a group...lemme in!!!

Hey w1ngman-
I'd be all for that, it would be terrific!! We've had a few informal get-togethers including a drive from Richmond to W'burg/Yorktown (great route DaveZ )back in the spring but we don't have an official club.
A while back I mentioned to Greg Stevens if we could do a Richmond or Central Virginia chapter (probably the better of the 2) of S2KCA since a lot of VA is not covered by the D.C./MD and Carolinas clubs. Haven't heard anything back. I'm sure we could do this, no problem.
I wouldn't mind taking the lead unless you or somebody else wants it?? We can put somebody up there next to Steve ("AgS2K) in his new S2KCA Webmaster role

If you guys will except car-less guys as members (for now anyway)a club sounds like a great idea. If I decide to buy a ZO6 I know I will be forced to resign. W1ngman I've got a 2 wheel Honda also....A 99 VFR

The rules for chapter formation are listed here:
S2KCA Chapter Formation
There's nothing keeping us from forming our own chapter, but we might want to consider a "Central Virginia" chapter instead of a "Richmond" chapter.
We're going to need 10 people to sign up (initially says 5, but then asks for 10 signatures) and we'll need some officers. We'll be required to host 3 events and sponsor 3 events per year, so someone who's good at organizing these sorts of things might want to consider stepping up to the plate.
Anyone, anyone? Beuller?
