Default KC Metro SPOTTED Thread

Hey all,

It is fairly infrequent when I see another S2000 on the road around Kansas City. Let's drop a note in here if we do see one and maybe the driver is on this board.

On Tuesday 8/12/25 I was in my SUV at College & Antioch around noon'ish. A yellow S2000 with top down and AP2V1 wheels (I think) came through the intersection. That's my car also. Was really fun to see "my car" on the road and how much it stood out!

Saw this red and very clean looking S2K at the annual KC Car Museum car show at the Liberty Memorial a few weeks ago. But parked outside on the street when I was leaving.

yeah there are a few yellow ones around. Mine is easy to spot currently as it is still covered with my TT5 numbers and vinyls and sponsor stickers. Taking all that off soon as I wont be hititng any more track events this season so will put on new ones next season. I have not driven mine on the street for a couple of months though. Just swapped the wheels back over last night to take the hoosiers off and put the rear exhaust section/mufflers back on it so I can take it on the street more

In Olathe and just rejoined the s2k ownership group a couple days ago. Unfortunately haven't got to drive it as the tires were from 2010 and were badly cracking. New tires should be on this week, and I'll be around.

Nice! Welcome back. Post some pics of your car when you get a chance.

I tried recently to drive with the top down and lasted 30 minutes but pouring sweat and drove the last hour and a half in the AC with the top up. Still a blast.

I have quite the list of stuff to do to get it up to my standards.

I drove around for a while with the top down and the AC on It actually helps more than one would think. I just really love driving with the top down. But on my way back from HD in Lees Summit I put the top back up

Well to be fair when it started getting cold last year but well before they start to salt the roads (the car is parked for the winter), I like driving with the heat blasting and the top down.
