Default Anyone Rent Their Cars Out on Turo?

For those not familiar, Turo is similar to AirBnB, but for cars. You post your car on the Turo website and you have people who want to rent your car to drive anywhere from 1 day to 1 week +.

Heres the website https://turo.com/ have some fun and see what people are posting up in your area.

This got me thinking, if I lease a car for 800 a month and I rent it out at 200 a day, I can possibly have my lease payments paid for if I can find at least 4 renters a month. I'd essentially have my lease payments covered and would only have to pay for personal use gas and insurance. However, to do this, I'd have to have no attachment to the car and be okay with the idea of the renter driving the car hard and picking their nose in it. Hence the idea of why'd I'd consider using a leased car instead of a personal one that I own.

Anyone have experience with this? Any positive or negative thoughts? Logistically, the prospective person wanting to rent their leased car out would probably need to confirm with the dealership that their car can be used for rides sharing services.

Have you figured insurance and leasing stipulations based on the owner/driver?

i've never done it, or used it. but i was planning on renting someones s2000 and shipping wheels and tires to take it to a track day. I'd install gps and have a rule about speeding and tracking.

I have a couple cars on Turo, including my S2000. They do have GPS tracking and restrictions on use.

We were just discussing that article in the turo owners group on facebook. My renters have all been very responsible and I understand the insurance coverage.

So what's your review? Is it worth it? What are the pros/cons? How much time do you typically spend meeting the renters, cleaning the car, etc.? Seems like it could be an awesome and cheap way to enjoy owning some fun cars, as long as you're not too attached to them.
