double taxin investments is a piss poor strategy. Will they pay me the money I lose? If the percentages were the same It would be fine.

Of course. Your losses on precious metals investments, just like losses on any other capital investment, are deductible from your taxable income, reducing your tax liability.

Gold is back down under $1800.
