Real Estate Crowdfunding Finds Its Footing |
The last 5 paragraphs of the article under DO YOUR HOMEWORK are key.
IMHO most people won't do the homework. And if the current rules are loosened, the scammers are sure to move in, people who shouldn't will invest too much trying to make a fast buck and will get fleeced. I think I'll stick with well-known publicly traded REITs. |

Given the liquidity requests (at present), REITs or real estate LLCs would be just as lucrative (maybe more), and way more transparent (it would seem). |
I'm registered w/ 2 or 3 real estate and equity crowdfunding platforms, and the couple of deals I've reviewed were overly favorable to the deal sponsors vs. private placements I can invest in locally.
