Anyone else working bank holiday?
Well here I am stuck in the office on such a nice day.............:(
anyone else in work today |
I think that everyone else is out driving top down in the sun. Sorry mate.
|
that's what I should be doing.............in on Monday too and pager support over the weekend
still it pays for the S2000....... |
I'm working straight through as usual. I can get more work done when people assume I'm off when I'm actually behind the desk. Shame the weather is so good, but then... I am my own boss and I do need a lunch hour, or three.

That's the price you have to pay for all your recent gallivanting, desert-crossing, Thursday-rolling and generally sunning yourself and having a good time.
:nopity: :nopity: :nopity: ;) :D |
money makes the world go round as they say

Mark from your signature I can see you have a K&N - where did you get it from and is it worth it over stock?
|
Got it from Halfords, Paul -

how easy is the filter to get on and off and do you think there is any performance gain to be had or is more a noise thing?
|
It's dead easy to fit. If I can do it, ANYONE can do it! The stock filter simply pulls off the end of the hose and the K&N slips on the end. Brian Marshall  suggests doing it after the car has been for a run, so the engine is hot and the additional heat makes it easier to remove and fit the replacement.
Performance gain? None discernible. Noise? Little change with airbox lid on but, as I said, a bit throatier with the lid off. Brian commented on his thread about dremelling out the airbox that adding a K&N or JR filter after doing it would produce more noise. That fits with my own experience. Bottom line was I replaced it not for noise or performance reasons but because my filter was covered in crap, I needed a new one and thought a washable one seemed infinitely more sensible than another paper one from Honda. |
