My thoughts are with those wounded by the events of 6 years ago. :(

I remember watching it as it happened on TV in a state of total shock and disbelief.

I bet everyone can remember what they were doing at the time.

I was tiling my bathroom, didn't hear about it until 22.00 BST when my mate came round to tell me. Saw it on the t.v made my blood run cold watching it.

About 6 months afterwards whilst on a short break to N.Y I went to ground zero to pay my respects. Very moving and something I will never forget.

I was shocked to see all the tacky stalls selling 'memorabilia' though.

R.I.P

I was watching Hook and getting stoned with my mate when my girlfriend rang me from work and told me to put the news on. That was a buzz kill. :(

We flew out to Florida on September 20th that year. (Wasn't going to let it stop us)
It was VERY quiet at the parks :(

I was off work that day. Watched the whole thing unfold.

I remember seeing the second plane hit. I was trying convince myself it was all a horrible accident until that point.

Truly shocking.

I was at work, could see the tails of the planes at Heathrow and decided it might be better to work from home for the rest of the day.

Thought it was a hoax initially, thought someone had hacked the news sites. When I realised it was true I phoned my dad (working at the LSE) and my sis and mum (shopping in London) to ask them to go home (call me paranoid!!), and as has been said before - my blood ran cold.

Horrific.

Went to Ground Zero while we were on hols about a week ago, and the stalls selling memorabilia have gone, it's now just a small (which surprised me) building site. No memorial or anything (yet).

Apparently potential plan includes a new subway station with a window that allows the sun to cast a beam of light between the times that the first plane hit, and the 2nd tower fell.

My company's HQ is about a block from there and they have just moved to No.7 WTC this week. I heard some amazing stories from my colleagues about that day...
