Default The Not Got A Problem Thread

I was reading the thread that one of our fellow owners had posted about his worries, that proved to be unfounded I'm pleased to say, about getting his car through an MOT with a Berk HFC fitted, and it occurred to me that there's nowhere on the forum for us to tell the rest of the UK owners about problems that our cars haven't encountered, or issues that we haven't had to resolve, despite the enthusiasm we clearly have for this - you just have to look at the MOT thread to see the proof. So here it is, the latest in the 'Not' series, the 'not got a problem' thread.

So, if your car doesn't suffer with one (or any number) of the common symptoms that sometimes temporarily takes the shine off the S2000 ownership experience, or you don't have a bizarre problem that your dealer can't fix, or preferably, if you haven't got issues with something no-one ever thought was a problem anyway, post up here. Please include details of the problem you don't have, the things you haven't had to do to fix it, and an idea of the costs you haven't incurred.

I'll go first: I still don't have any seized bushes. That means I haven't had to have any of them cut out, and I've not spent about £400 on polybushes, or £1000 in labour. I realised I didn't have a problem when my car handled well and didn't pull to one side when I lift off, brake or accelerate. Is there anyone else out there without this problem who could tell me what else not to do about it? It's meant I haven't had to SORN the car temporarily while I save up and I haven't had a scary moment in the wet, exiting a roundabout I'm really familiar with.

Come on people, what's not bothering you? Surely one of you has thought to check the switch before pronouncing your passenger electric window dead, etc........

FFS FB. Do you realise how much of my valuable work time I'm wasting on your "Not" threads. ? If this carries on much longer I wont be productive until after lunch.

Thank god my S doesnt have any issues at the moment keeping it off the road so at least I don't have to leave the office to drop it off at a garage to have it fixed.

P.S. My TCT sounded fine when I drove it this weekend. I'll be glad I dont have to have that sandblasted anytime in the near future.

You're going to love the 'not done any work today' thread, Andy!

My valves aren't sounding tappety in any way, in fact the engine sounds nothing like a bag of nails in a tin can. I get this continuously every time I drive the car, especially when it's warmed up. Is leaving the valve clearances alone an easy job ? and is it possible to not adjust them on the driveway with some basic DIY knowledge and a feeler gauge?

I've not done loads of work on my car myself, Ben, including valve clearances. You'll be fine not doing them yourself. Don't, whatever you do though, use a feeler gauge to not do them. Totally unnecessary IMO.

Good luck with leaving it well alone. Let us know how you don't get on?

I have not got a problem with my battery, it worked fine this morning when I started the car. I must ask an internet forum how to not replace this when the time comes.

I do have however got a problem with rear brakes but I aim to solves this without asking you lot.
