If the GOP is considered
how is it they ran up a Trillion dollar deficit over the last eight years and it might be higher as some "funny accounting" has come to light

Eight years for the Bush and the Democratic congress to run up a trillion and one month for Obama and his democratic congress.
At least the GOP got eight years of fun out of it. Obama blew it in a few weeks. Let's hope it makes a difference!

The US national debt was about $5.5 million million dollars when George W Bush took office. When he left, it was approximately twice that. And the R's controlled Congress for a few of those years. Also note that GWB never vetoed a spending bill...
God only knows what it will be in 4 years when the next President is inaugurated.
