Anyone Wanna' Talk about Laguna Blue?
There was one at the Cardinal Honda last weekend for the NorEaster. I don't know if he was with us or not (for some reason, he was parked around the back)...
Y'know, seeing this color in person for the 2nd time (I first saw it a couple of months ago in Seattle), I've decided that it doesn't do it for me. I guess I'm more inclined to like a darker blue. I can't remember if Monte Carlo was darker (I think so, I used to lust after it and I'd seen it in some of the pics from Australia and Japan), but the UK folks with the Royal Navy blue might have the color I really like.
Anyway, just musing. I know Suzuka is going away shortly for MY07, but I still like it the best and have decided that I like it more than Laguna.
What do you guys think? (and no offense to the guy who brought his, by the way)...

My CR-V is a similar color and I like it, but the darker blue just doesn't seem to work well on the S2K. Some colors work better on other cars in my opinion. I loved the electric blue when it came on the Civic si two generations ago, then they put the same color on the CR-V, and it just didn't work.
I've talked to several dealers and they're all saying this is the last year...I know they've been saying that for the last 4 years, but I tend to believe it this year. Honda likes to redesign models every 6 years......it's over due. Though I don't think it's going to be redesigned, just dropped all together. Then again, look at the NSX, how long has that gone without a major redesign?

Interesting. I guess most of you like the Laguna. That's cool. Maybe I'll have to import a royal navy car in here from Europe someday.
Bill, I know. Four and a half years. Unbelievable how the time has flown.
Dave, did you enjoy the auto-x? That was your first time, right?
Lainey, I think it's interesting that blue shows up a lot as a vintage color, but I hesitate to call it "mature." A lot of Bimmers come in a similar color (a little lighter). But, anyway, I know what you mean, having had a red Miata for 12 years.
Steve, wasn't your first S a Spa?

Ah, the Electric Blue Civic! We had one on order in 1980 or so but it never came through. Wound up getting a black Civic S in 1983 instead.
As far as Laguna goes, a guy at a sheltered workshop where several of my clients work has one. I've seen it up close and on the road and it does look nice in a sedate sort of way, not like Rio, Spa or NFR.

I saw a Laguna at Boch the other week. It looked really nice. If I decided to upgrade my 01, I would seriously consider Laguna over NFR

No more "mature" colors for us.
