rpg51: Check Upstate, NY. Drive into Bennington scheduled for Sept 17th (I think). Maybe you might want to meet up.

Otherwise, does this count as a sighting? In S2000, August, in New Hampshire:

Spotted a black one in St. Johnsbury. VT on the 18/19 and a black and a Laguna (? It's a different name in the UK) blue in Snowsville NH on the 21st parked up. We're visiting from the UK, driving a mustang, so missing our S on the twisty stuff

It was indeed, your pictures are better than the ones my wife snapped as we went by. We were going to stop and say hello, but there was no one near the cars (it was quite early)

That Inn looks real familiar. Is that a bed and breakfast not far from Brownfield Me? If so, I think I stayed there once and then went to a concert at a venue in Brownfield. Stone Mountain Arts Center. Great small music venue.

That track looks great. I have never driven on a track. Is that a track that a rank beginner could drive on?

My silver 02 is in St. J sometimes.

That was the Inn at Crystal Lake, in Ossipee, N.H. No too far from the Maine border, but I don't have a clue what's over there.

rpj, yes, a rank beginner should find that track more than forgiving once it's completed. But I think it will be operated as a club, with not too much opportunity for mere mortals to visit. But any track, just about, can be driven by a rank beginner. We were all beginners once. SCDA, NASA-NE and Northeast Track Days are all s2000 friendly. They will put an instructor in the car with you, and give classroom instruction as well. SCCA is also running something called Track Nights, for rank beginners. Visit the Racing and Competition forum, or post up your questions on the Upstate NY Track Day thread. Your problem in Vermont will be finding a track. Lauden, NH, Palmer, Mass and Lime Rock might be your closest opportunities.
