Default Auto insurance

All,

I currently have progressive insurance and I just received my new rates effective next month. OUCH 56% increase!!!!!

Beware if you have progressive, you are going to get a surprise in the mail.

My car is a 2002 S.

I called progressive since it seemed like an error. The guy on the phone said we have had much larger losses than expected in MA, MOST of our renewals have increased SIGNIFICANTLY!!!

Last year coverage $900
New proposed policy $1,405

I asked him to requote and he told me to go on-line to the website. The quote on line was over $1,600!!!!!

No accidents, tickets, or claims in the last year.

Coverages all high 250 / 500 K and high deductables 1000.

About me age 44 male.

What insurance companies are you guys using to insure your S?

I am going to change companies.

Thanks ,

James

Ryan Mass has always been expensive as we have some of the worst drivers in the county right behind RI

welcome deregulation

my mustang is 750 a year with full coverage $500 deductible truck is 360 for basic BUT both carry 100/200 for damage to other people property / medical and i use Hanover insurance and i am pretty sure all the old surcharges finally fell off

why not call AAA for a rate

i've been with the same agent for 23 years now so maybe they know something to keep my rates down

Get a quote from an independent agent, one who checks various companies.

We renewed in April and saw no increase, if anything a slight decrease as vehicles are older.

Approx $1850, for three vehicles, 02 Jeep 04 S2000, 08 WRX, high liability coverages, 1K deductible on collision $300.00 on comprehensive. Clean driving records, Vintage drivers.

Where you live, city vs town can have something to do with your rates, but I say time to shop around.
