Best Honda dealer on the North shore?
*edit* herb came through, and we got the car from him. pics down below!*
Ok, long story short, Herb Chambers in Boston Sucks
My gf went to check out a midlevel CRV, test drove, etc
she liked it, we did some negotiating on the price and they said they would get her the color she wanted and gave us a #
Well we left them hanging and they called back a day or so later.
she tried to get a lower price, no dice.
So the following weekend she goes in to purchase the suv at the price the had previously offered her, and they THEN tell her that they were not authorized to make that offer, and that they couldnt do it..
the sales lady had the Price THEY offered written down on her notepad.
she walked out and told them they shouldnt make offers if they do not stick to them.
later that day they called back and offered her a 2 wheel drive model for the same offer, as they made for the 4wd one.
not going to happen.
She wrote an email to herb chambers (or whover the top guy is) and she has yet to hear back from him (this email was sent over a week ago)
Is there anything else she should do, other then go to another dealer?
and what other dealers would you recommend on the north shore, near laurence?

Not sure of the name, but there at least used to be a Honda dealer on Route 1 northbound in Danvers. Been years since I've lived up that way, but they had a good rep at the time.

I believe your are referring to Honda North, except for an oil change when It was too cold to do it in the street I havent used them but the did seem far less "annoying" than High Priced Herb. just out of curiosity why north shore only? I assume it's because are you tired of driving and haggling but if you have a somewhat reasonable figure you were happy with you might get someone to commit to it over the phone.

I bought my S at Cambridge Honda. They were pretty good. Gave me a great price on the S. I have not used them for anything as they are a bit far away and Boch is only a couple miles away from my house.

Another vote for Honda North. They have some of the most competitive (stern no-haggle, but good) prices and last time I shopped their they were giving 100k warranty with every new car purchase.
Only catch was you had to have services done at the dealer and for me it was an hour drive away. Otherwise, if you are in the area, they sound promising.
Not a fan of the new snout on the CRV's but otherwise it is a fantastic vehicle. I had a 2000 model that I would kill to have back today. Have fun shopping, take no prisoners!
