We planned on only having 2 cars on this trip! Everybody else deserted us to go to NH. Let me just say it was the nicest day we have had here in the longest time. We ended up taking a really long time to get going.(12:00) One of the nice things about driving in your own state!

We drove almost to RI and off 95 took a trip straight North almost to MA and then towards Hartford and 3/4 of the way there we headed diagonal towards Middletown hit 91 for .2 seconds then on to 15 to head home.

Best drives............off 95.......49N------SterlingHill 14AW------------Plainfield 12N---------up to 101 W and to 44 to Ashford. 44 was decent but after that the rest of the driving was not as much fun.

That is the route that we scouted and was a huge thumbs up! I think Frank takes us down 169 to Mystic correct? So that is why we didn't drive that road.

I am sure there are more roads around but finding a more fun home is definitely a necessity. I ideally would like to take a drive around that area and try to end up in a central area to let the MA drivers and the CT drivers not have a million miles to drive home.

My next drive will be scouting out the upper left portion of CT or maybe scouting more over in the right side since its closer to Boston.

I was the two cars! Me and him! Route 49 (?) up the east was great, really great. Now if we can find a decent road off of there.

Thanks for the tour, Jim!!

Jim,

You've mentioned in the past that it's unfair you guys have to always come to MA for rides, and I agree....so set up some sweet CT rides and we'll do the long-distance driving for a change I'd like to explore a bit more of the CT area...
