F1 karting
Would anyone be interested in an NES2K F1 karting event? Check out http://www.f1boston.com/discover_f1.htm for more info. Maybe a good winter event when only us, die hard, year round S2k drivers are out pushing the snow out of the way for everyone one else :-)

Hi Dave,
You don't have to go that far. There is a place in Windsor Locks, CT where a number of us went this spring for some karting. I actually have a membership which I haven't used since.
Check it out: www.karttrak.com
Threads from the spring:
Official Pics: Today's Kart Trak race/drive!
Poll: Helping you out PortugueseS2K ...............Anyone up for Karttrack this Sunday?

I'd like to go to Kart Trak again in Windsor Locks, CT.
I thought their carts were plenty fast, and the track didn't have the elevation change like F1 Boston, which made driving around Kart Trak seem faster by comparison to me -- since I wasn't waiting impatiently while driving the torque limited uphill straight. At F1 it seemed to me that you impatiently rumble up a slow uphill straight to only get to go downhill through a tight corkscrew -- where you can't go fast because you're turning so sharp. Having said this, I've only been on the corkscrew track at F1 and I know there is also another track there, but I've never seen it nor driven on it. The bottom line is that I clearly prefer Kart Trak over the the F1 corkscrew track.
I would also be willing to go to F1 to try out their other track -- but I wouldn't bother going back to F1 to drive the corkscrew track.
Kind Regards, Chris
PS: I recall that Kart Track was also much cheaper to drive than F1. F1 seemed kind of fancy inside to please business outing "expense-account/team-building" folks, and their fancy interior was reflected in their price.

Hey Chris ~ nice to see you're still lurking
I understand they are buidling a new track next to Gillette staudium
Racing usa or something and the karts are much faster than F1
we could so that and then have a party at my home

Yes, now that I see a ChrisfromRI I'm thinking I should change my name to KrisfromRI! (as I spell my name the Dutch way)
And I would definitely be excited to try this out!
