Default Good deal on '01 S2K?

I found an '01 S2K with 36k Miles on it. Asking price is $11,700. It seems mint in the description and it has been garaged during winters. It's hard to forecast the value of these cars due to the fact that they are no longer in production but doesn't this one seem like a good deal?
I have had great luck in buying / maintaining good examples of used cars and often making back my money (or at least most of it) when I re-sell them. This is what I hope with an S2K as well.
What do you guys think?

if you like it buy it for the enjoyment of owning an s2k

if you are buying it to make money - i highly doubt the values will increase

$11,700 sounds like a good price, but I don't know if you can sell it for so much more that you would make back the sales tax and a profit. I agree with Steve.

At least into the next 10 years I dont see any appreciation in value coming.

Thanks for the insight. I would be buying for pure pleasure of owning/driving an S2K not to make a profit. The main concern for trying to make back much of the original investment would be based on if I need the cash in a year or two when we need to upgrade to a larger house (we hope).

the s2k has held it's value pretty well in the last ten years

ie you are you are paying 40% of the orig sell price from 8 years ago (ie28k new)

but who knows what will happen to the market when you are ready to sell
