Are FIPKs cheap?

In relation to other mods, yes. New from K&N is just under $300. Plus I installed mine. If I can do it, a blind chimp can install it.

Also, if you go FI, does that mod stay?

I guess if I got it and went FI, I could always sell it.

Bill, just pull your cover off your stock airbox. Same diff! Look at the pic and tell me what the difference is? Now a AEM thats pulls air from below I see the diff the FIPK pulls from the same place the stock airbox does and its covered on 3 sides just like the stock airbox minus a cover. Slight difference i see is the front part is open the front part facing the fender that is. Wanna get fancy cut your stock airbox cheaper than $300

FIPK seals around the hood when closed and pulls air from the fender by the headlight. OEM box pulls from anywhere in the engine bay and when the cover is off it's even worse.

After 100 miles or driving yesterday I put my hand on the filter when I stopped and it was cold.

Not sure what its worth for performance but it's def pulling in cool air.

So we add is some rubber gasket seal on the top of the stock airbox

Next dyno day someone should do a comparison.
