17 for weight and performance. Cheaper tires when u need. A lot of selection
18 looks awesome when dropped correctly, More lip on some wheels, more expensive when in comes to tires, price of wheels are high as well.

Either way pick the wheels that are suited for your type of driving and the look you are aiming for

Also do not get lowering springs, coilovers is the only thing better than s2k stock suspension.

Too much rotational inertia with 18s, need torque to make those move fast, and need weight to match when slowing down, turning.

Light car + No torque = 16/17s

Almost all wheels look better in 17's imo. Much cheaper wheels in 17" size compared to 18's as well. Many 18" tires will be close to
$100 more a piece.
