2022 S2K Bear Mountain Drive with OEM+ on Sunday 7/31/22
I also want to take a moment to thank all the group leaders and Marshalls that make these events possible.
Yesterday I was frustrated and venting a little, as I had been so looking fwd to this. I don't want anyone that helped organize this event to feel criticized or berated. Things didn't go perfectly, but so long as we figure out why and take steps for next time, its all good, and that is definitely happening.

I'd like to state that I was simply attempting to explain how the "back 20" cars got off route - not trying to be a whiner. I too was excited to get the car out of the driveway and on a group trip - and appreciate Jose for organizing these runs.
And yes, last Fall I was one of the unlucky ones in the group that showed up an hour late at Pennings due to following a car who made a pit stop/not knowing the remaining route.
But I will persevere! I do expect to one day I finish a trip successfully! So count my RYP in next time out.

There was a squad car posted in the intersection when I made the left after the street with all the American flags on it. As for whomever took the 20-something cars off route, I think he owes everyone a meal at brothers, myself included.
The guy that owes everyone isn't the one that went straight instead of left. The first rule was keep going until you see a Turn Marshall (see a car). There was no Turn Marshall (cop took off), no turn.
The one that owes is the guy that afterwards (once we realized we went wrong and everyone stopped) plugged bbq address into gps and blindly followed it to nearest highway, instead of letting others that might know correct path figure out what to do.
When someone confidently takes the lead, everyone else assumes they know the route, and follows.
Don't be Duning Kruger guy.

For Penning's, be aware that I wasn't on that drive, I met everyone at the end since I didn't have my s2000, it was at the shop getting repaired so I don't even know what route was used for that event.
