ALL S2k OWNERS SHOULD HAVE THIS!
This is definitely a must have for all vehicle owners, cheap and effective. It's waterproof and has very low battery consumption.
wireless infrared motion sensor mounted wherever you like with a pager alarm loud as hell with variable volume.
my product review is
LINK TO CHEAP PLACE TO BUY 14$ + shipping
BUY IT ON EBAY 20$ dependent on who you buy from + shipping
they also sell them at most AS-SEEN-ON-TV stores at malls and shopping centers. $20 + tax

maybe its the way i have mine angled, but it really works around my car with about a
10 foot radius or so in all directions , it doesn't pick up cars on the street but it does
get cars pulling in the driveway.

that's good too, but this is a really cheap wireless system that points out over the driveway and will tell you when someone is walking up or pulls into your driveway. for that one it appears they have to walk all the way up to the garage door, this will tell you practically at the end of the driveway.
you could even put it inside your car, if someone got into it, it would go off. i mean obviously by that point your soft top may be in shambles but just expressing the portability of it.

I have one of those motion sensor lights above the garage. They'll only turn on if it's dark enough and someone/something comes within range. It always seems a bit flaky, even with semi-regular adjustments. Sometimes, it'll come on when a car drives by in the street and sometimes it won't come on until you're half way up the driveway. If this system behaves similarly, I can see it getting old real quick.
