hey guys well today on my way to work on i95 there was bumper to bumper traffic so i was minding my business when a glare hit me in my eye.so i look down and i see a phone shape thing. i get out the car and go on the divider and pick it up. low and behold it was a 3g i phone on the floor it seems to be in good shape. when i say that i mean the screen was not cracked or anything of that nature just a very small nick at the bottom. well i get home and look at it and it has a lock. even though i do know how to unlock i phone for i can use them on any gsm carrier well i was like let me try 0000 and it worked hehe i guess some people arent as smart as you think with passwords. haha well i go in but when you press the center button nothing happens the volume and other buttons work and the screen works. its like stuck on the calling screen i can go to recent calls, favs,voicemails even text but nothing else. well my question is to all iphone users on the forum. if i go to apple and get it exchanged will they ask me or charge me anything. i know my friend goes all the damn time to apple to switch iphones because his always messed up but i have never went. i called him and he is not answering trying to get a quick answer to see on what i should do with it tommrow

it's $199 to get it replaced (ask me how I know, ) and they pretty much dont make exceptions unless your a business customer.

Also everytime I've been, they've verified that its my account; so I'm sure if you show up with some reandom iPhone they're not going to exchange it for you.

yea im sure they will check the phone and make sure its yours before they exchange it for you. just go and put it back where you found it before Steve Jobs comes to your house and takes it.

i dont know, i think they can find out whose iphone it is somehow. i would bring it to the store they only handle people who has accounts with them.
