Default Car got broken into

My car got broken into last night .They cut the roof and stole my seats, Gear knob, Dash display and starter unit. I called the cops and filed a claim. What next guys any ideas?I am a broke student so any advice as to how to save my money will be very useful.
Thanks.

wow another one in union...called the insurance company yet? I would use the money to replace your seats with aftermarket ones and the rest of your things. I would put it in a garage thats the best way to protect your S

Can you explain how to go about it? From what little I know won't a body shop assigned by my insurance fix it , so how do I get the money and get aftermarket seats and use the surplus to fix the rest?

Around here, insurance cannot assign a body shop. It's your choice.

I agree...with so much taken, Insurance may just consider the car totalled.
If that's the case, I'd get a new one. If my car got violated in such a way, it would never be the same again.
I disagree with this sentiment. They didn't take it for a joy ride, so what if the seats and some stuff were taken? It's still the same car mechanically that you know and love, and it will drive just as well after you fix the stuff.

But best of luck, that really sucks! I'm sorry to hear about it. Best of luck getting it righted!
